Classic Worship is our traditional hybrid (in-person and live-streamed) service at 9:30am in our historic Sanctuary on Sundays. Enjoy stirring organ music and the angelic voices of our Chancel Choir!

Common Ground is an inclusive contemporary worship experience encouraging all to take the next step in faith and justice. All Common Ground activities take place on Sundays at 11:45am for 45 minutes. On Worship Sundays in the sanctuary, we’ll experience upbeat contemporary music, Scripture lessons, and a message that speaks to faith in action. On “Faith in Action” Sundays in the Great Hall, we’ll engage in community building activities, creative arts, advocacy/justice education, and service projects. Take a look at the Common Ground webpage to see what’s coming up!

I would like to be baptized or have my child baptized at First Methodist. What do I need to know?

Baptism is an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace, demonstrating to the world God’s love for us and our adoption into God’s family. It is also our promise to God of our continual love, faith, and service. Those who are baptized constitute the community we call the church; therefore, the sacrament of baptism is conducted during services of public worship.

At First Methodist we practice both infant and adult baptism. Please contact the ministry staff to arrange for baptisms at any of our worship services. More information about baptism may be found here.
