United women in faith

our Purpose

To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ

To develop a creative, supportive fellowship

To expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church

OUR VISION

United Women in Faith turns faith, hope, and love into action on behalf of women, children, and youth around the world.

United Women in Faith offers programs to support spiritual growth, fellowship, and faithful service. As a member, you will…

  • Study issues affecting women, children, and youth through Conference and District meetings and retreats, Mission U, the UWF Reading Program, national Faith Talks, circle meetings, and local programs.

  • Support missions in Indiana, nationwide, and around the world, including the Lucille Raines Residence in Indianapolis; Navajo United Methodist Center in Farmington, New Mexico; and a children and youth anti-trafficking program in Hanoi, Vietnam.

  • Work for justice through compassionate service and advocacy to address issues such as racial and gender human rights, maternal and child health, domestic violence, and human trafficking.

Join a Circle!

Circles are the heart of United Women in Faith. These groups provide opportunities to grow in faith; build relationships through fellowship, projects, and prayer; receive updates on UWF activities; and participate in programs that relate to issues from climate justice to the criminalization of communities of color and mass incarceration. Circles have continued to meet through the pandemic either virtually or in-person with social distancing, mask-wearing, and observing cleanliness guidelines.
